Purpose:

The theatre scholarship is intended to help a student meet the educational expenses associated with post-secondary education in the field of the Arts. The scholarship amount is $1,000.00 or less and will be awarded in one cheque at the beginning of the first semester.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be pursuing further education in the field of the arts.
• Applicants must show that they have been involved in some capacity with the Powerhouse Theatre.
• The scholarship is NOT awarded based on the applicant’s financial need.
• There need NOT be a scholarship awarded each year.
• The applicant must provide proof of acceptance at an accredited school and need NOT be a first-year student.

Selection Process

• Applications must be received by April 1st, current year
• Recipient will be selected by the Powerhouse Board of Directors and all applicants will be notified of the result by May 15, current year
